Shrewsbury Kitchen Remodel - Same Layout, More Pizazz
These homeowners in Shrewsbury, MA had a pretty average 1990's kitchen. It was large and functional, but was lacking "pizazz". Without changing the layout too much, we expanded the island and added a microwave drawer. The desk area was removed and replaced with a new bar area. Glass doors were added to several upper cabinets.
The main cabinets are maple with a Nordic White painted finish, while the island is a contrasting Designer Series color called Baltic Sea. The combination of these two colors really make the kitchen pop. If you look closely at the photos, you will see that the interior of the glass cabinets are painted with the contrasting color. For example, the interior of the Nordic White cabinet is painted with Baltic Sea to match the island.
To top it all off, Rooms With a View of Westboro, MA installed the beautiful tile backsplash and hickory wood floor. These happy homeowners are raving about their new kitchen, now full of "pizazz"!
