A Kitchen Remodel That Brings the Family Together
These Worcester, MA homeowners have a growing extended family. When the grandchildren and other family members were around for a visit, being all together was difficult due to the closed floorpan. With help from BJ Hibbard, a contractor from Oxford, MA, the wall which separated the family room from the kitchen was replaced with a load-bearing beam. This created a nice open space for everyone to be together and now there are no more missed plays as the Patriots game on the large TV can be seen from the kitchen.
In the kitchen, a combination of colors from Brookhaven cabinets were chosen. "Bright White" painted cabinets were used for the uppers and "Slate" for the lower cabinets and island. Carrara Marble countertops give the kitchen a touch of elegance.
Other features the homeowners love are the interior cutlery dividers in the drawers. The knife block and particularly the spice insert makes them the envy of their friends. Also, the desk area includes a special drawer designed to hide the printer, yet make it easy to access.
This family will enjoy some tasty meals and good family fun for many years to come!!
