LG Recalls 500,000 Electric Ranges Due to Fire Hazzard
LG Just announced a recall on over 500,000 electric ranges due to the front knobs being accidentally activated, causing fires and injuries.
Visit the Consumer Product Safety Commission for affected models and serial numbers. The model and serial numbers for the recalled product can be found inside the oven door or storage drawer located at the bottom of the oven.
LG advises customers with affected ranges to keep children and pets away and to carefully check the knobs before leaving home or going to bed. Additionally, do not place objects on the range when it is not in use.
Consumers should contact LG for a free warning label and replacement instructions. The label serves as a reminder to activate the Lock Out/Control Lock function on the range control panel.
LG can be contacted via the LG Recalls website section or by calling (800) 399-3265 from 9 a.m. to 6 a.m. ET Mon-Fri.
