Don't Chase the Waterfalls, Bring Them to Your Kitchen!
This couple from Beverly, MA really enjoys the beach and boating. However, they lived far away and it was a pretty long trip to get to the ocean, as well as a long, drawn out process hauling their boat. So instead of continuing to make the commute to the ocean, they bought a house and moved closer. They loved their new location, but the kitchen in their new coastal home was dated and needed attention.
They contacted Kitchen Associates, and working with Jay Sponenberg and his installation team they were able to have a beautiful new kitchen plan as well a quality installation. They chose Brighton cabinets with the Hampton MT door style in the “Iceberg” painted finish. The construction of the cabinets included the full framed access feature. This combines the sturdiness of the framed cabinet with the accessibility of the frameless. Since the stiles on the frame are only 7/8” wide, this provides more storage space in the cabinets, which is crucial to most people. This, along with the base access to the corner cabinets, and the roll out shelves in the pantry, gives them lots of much needed storage space.
A feature that really makes this kitchen special, is the beautiful granite provided by Discover Marble and Granite. They chose “Antarctic White” granite with a striking waterfall edge on the end of both peninsulas. The homeowners love how the unique pattern on the granite flows downward over the corner, just like a waterfall. This really brings to life the nautical theme they were looking for.
Now after a relaxing day at the beach and boating with their friends, they can entertain in their beautiful new kitchen, waterfalls and all!
